Accurate reproduction of the Sharps Long Range model made in December 1876 converting rifles with 32” barrels to 34” barrels. The original was produced with single trigger only, in February of 1879 some 1000 pieces had been produced with double set triggers. Shotgun style buttstock w/cheekpiece, pistol grips & checkered w/ silver forend tip. American walnut with satin oil finish. 2” drop and a 14” trigger pull. Barrel is 50/70 caliber, blued, 34” octagon to round. 1 in 26” twist. Front sight is 3/8” dovetail, blued steel, hooded globe w/inserts. Barrel sight is blued steel flip-up w/elevator to 800 yards. Tang sight is blued steel, windage & elevation adjustable. Ignition is 50/70 black powder cartridge or factory loaded ammo. Features blued steel buttplate and color casehardened receiver, block, lever, triggerplate. Drilled and tapped for tang sight ( 2 holes 10X28, 2 ¼” center to center.)
