This style seat dates from the time of Napoleon; apparently, the chair backs exhibited varied styles. Our’s is handmade, the back pegged together from kiln dried oak, and the seat frame is poplar assembled with galvanized nuts and bolts for strength and durability – and safety. The seat is of Carhart coverall canvas. A step up in primitive camp seating, and authentic for the period of 1790 – 1840.
