Over & under barrels are .65 caliber. A swivel type ramrod is attached under the barrels with steel rib. Barrels are very unusual as they have faceted profiles on the top and the bottom but are flat on the sides where they join. No forearm is present. Side-by-side front action locks are nicely engraved in English style with very little wear to the engraving. About 20% faint color casehardening remains. Engraving on the locks and hammers is excellent. Top of the barrel is also engraved near the breech as is the breechplug tang. Platinum blow out plugs are present on the bolster on either side. Sliding safety is located behind the hammer on the left side but the safety slide is missing on the right side. Each lockplate is engraved "DEAKIN." Steel triggerguard is nicely engraved with some original blue finish remaining. Engraving is perfectly sharp. Bag shaped grip is checkered with only very light wear to the checkering. Most of the original varnish remains on the grip. Steel grip cap is also engraved. British proof marks are present on the bottom of the barrel. Overall condition is very fine.
