This is the 29th issue of Dixie's Blackpowder Annual. We began publishing the newsstand distributed magazine in 1976 and from the beginning it has been a general mix of interesting muzzleloading and blackpowder cartridge articles produced by some of the best writers.
Articles include hunting elk, deer, Mexico turkey and African gemsbok with an 1884 Springfield Trapddor. Gun reviews include Toby Bridges "High Performance Muzzleloaders," George Layman's "Second Generation Single Shots," Miles Gilbert's "W & C Scott Quadlock Shotgun," Allan Torres "French Gras Rifle," Wayne Austerman's "Sharps Rifles of the Walk - A - Heaps" just to mention a few.
Our historical pieces are: A biography of "Texas Jack" Omohundro, the good friend and partner of "Buffalo Bill" Cody, written by David Chicoine. "History of Fort Union, Dakota Territory," by Susan Jennys and many more. Contemporary articles are: "The Fingerweaving of Tom Conde, " by Mel & Sandra Hankla; "Shuetzen Shooting" by Thomas D. Schiffer along with coverage of cowboy action shooting plus lots and lots of more exciting acticles.
