The handle appears to be made of ebony and is nicely turned and also works for seating wads in the shells. The body of the dipper is made of what appears to be German silver. It is graduated from 1 oz to 1 ½ oz of shot and from 2 ½ to 3 ½ drams of powder. The bottom of the dipper is marked "JAMES DIXON/& SONS/1104B." Overall condition is fine. The small detent screw is missing from the removable part of the dipper but could be easily replaced.
