Cartridge conversions of the 1851 Navy had the same features as the Richard-Mason conversions of the 1860 Army. This revolver has a one piece European walnut grips with a satin finish. Steel frame. .38 LC caliber, blued 7 ½” tapered octagon barrel with .730” at breech to .650” at muzzle. Broached rifling .003” deep with a 1 in 16” twist. 6 lands - .347 and 6 grooves .353. Front sight – brass bead and rear sight V notch in hammer nose. Ignitions is .38 LC black powder cartridge. Six shot. Features blued steel furniture, color casehardened frame and hammer.
