A documentary on the life of Nathan Bedford Forrest. It follows his early life in and around Memphis, Tennessee, and his rise to command in the Confederate Army. As would be expected, most of the movie concerns his service in the War Between the States and is illustrated with scenes from reenactments of Forrest’s battles. Forrest’s connection with the Klu Klux Klan following the war is examined. In all, this is a very balanced examination of the ife of a controversial individual. The part of Forrest is played by Stan Dalton, a near perfect look – alike. There is commentary by noted Civil war Author Shelby Foote, Brigadier General Parker Hills, Alabama Senator Hand Sanders, Dr. Chester Quarles and David Ndilei. Approximately 50 minutes.
