My first flinter, took three rounds to figure out what the rifle likes for priming. Fit and finish is about average for Pedersoli. My all time favorite front loader is the TC Seneca, out of production for years. The Cub although looking very different has nearly identical measurements to the Seneca. If you like the Seneca, you will love the Cub. Perhaps because of my shooting background, but I did not find there to be much learning curve when it comes to shooting a flint lock.
Ignition is very reliable, balance is superb, accuracy is very good to outstanding. The Seneca has been my favorite for over 30 years. The Cub has now become my new favorite front loader and flint is likely to became my new favorite ignition. It's taken me 52 years of muzzleloading to find the Cub, but it was surely worth the wait. Now for the next one???
