Took this beauty to the range and fired it for the first time. It far exceeded my expectations. The load I used was 28 grains triple f black powder and a 454 round ball. Worked great. The recoil you barely noticed and the action was crisp and clean. It did bind up after a couple shots but nothing serious. I just did a bit of field cleaning and carried on. It's got great balance and the grip was perfect for me. I will try triple seven next trip out as that will not foul up as much as regular 3f black powder. At about 50 feet I hit the bullseye twice. It's a lot of fun and worth the money.
