Very happy with the shotgun and with Dixie Gun Works customer service.
I had questions before placing my order and they were promptly and accurately answered. The order proceeded smoothly and I was able to pick the shotgun up from my local FFL in a reasonable amount of time.
Initially, the shotgun was very tight (a good thing). Especially when reassembling the fore end, the forearm locking lever mechanism had to be forced back into position. After two or three boxes of shells (thee CAS sessions), it popped back into position on the forearm, even though being snug. Everything works well and the gun closes smoothly and tight.
Quality on the wood and metal is very good. I like the CCH treatment of the sideplates. Initially, I was put off by the tang (non-automatic) safety but I like the additional level of safety. The patterns seem to be fine for the CYL and IC chokes.
I can cock both hammers at the same time with a sweep of my hand. The triggers have different weights, but that seems to be normal with a double trigger gun. The shotgun mounts smoothly and its weight keeps target load recoil down. I found nothing to challenge the few formal reviews out on the internet. It is a good gun. Only downside is because it isn't a safe queen, I hold my breath every time I take it out, hoping I don't put dings (Character marks) on it.
