I have had one of these scopes and mounts on my Parker Hale Whitworth for 10 years. It is a bit awkward to learn how to adjust elevation and windage at first. Experience makes the difference. I suggest the shooter give as much eye relief as they can as the eye piece can give a good whack to the shooter's eyebrow due to the recoil of 70-90 grains of black powder under a 525 grain patched hexagon whitworth bullet. The scope definitely improves an already decent shooting rifle.
