Well, we would not buy another Pedersoli kit. This is not a skill level one 'in the white' build.
If the factory person who put this in the box can't tell that then avoid that place like the plague.
We got the dreaded trigger guard issue. Seems like some later kits have a trigger guard that won't match the inletting no matter what.
The stock is pretty uneven in the rough cutting. My impression is that the rejects that maybe don't need to be binned get thrown to 'kits' by assemblers doing piecework? There is a problem at DPS somewhere.
The lock feels horrible,
Since Pedersoli locks cost as much as premium locks do.. .not cool.
If you are restricted in budget like me maybe you can live with this. If you have the means I'd go with a kit you can drop an L&R RPL lock into or shop semi to custom.
As always great service from Dixie, we decided to make a go of this anyway. We will have to cut metal and drill, so false advertising on the part of DPS. I'll write that cat a sharply worded letter for a fact.
I cannot recommend this to a first time builder, might be a great buy for an experienced builder. This is my first and last Pedersoli kit.
