Easy and fun! The fit and finish was pretty simple with patience and elbow grease. I was able to recreate the dark finish shown on the box without any trouble and it looks great. This kit (contrary to photo) comes entirely in the bright. I look forward to taking this to the range!

This is an excellent kit. Only minor final fitting and finishing of the stock is required. Mine came with the barrel and hammer blued with the remainder in the bright. I left it this way for a nice contrast. It loads easily and shoots good. I would recommend this kit to anyone looking for a derringer.

What a great little pistol!! Minimal fitting was required on the wood stock using a dremal tool and the wood itself on my kit arrived already beautifully finished - I couldn't possibly improve upon it. All the action was treated to a deep cold blueing and the pistol assembled. No trouble firing - it fires every time although the trigger pull is a little heavy but I expect that to improve and ease up with use. All in all very pleased indeed.

This is a fantastic little pistol to assemble. first had to make minor adjustments to the stock including sanding and drilling two holes for the screws so that the stock would fit the frame properly. Then blued the frame and barrel and let dry while I stained the stock with linseed oil. After everything was dry I assembled the pistol and it now looks great wish there was some way to post a picture. Will be purchasing another kit soon.
