Fullstock, birds head type grip. American walnut stock. .54 caliber, blued 10 3/8"octagon barrel. Front sight is blued steel base and blade with a 3/8"dovetail. Rear sight is blued steel open style, 3/8"dovetail. Features a brass triggerguard, sideplate & thimbles. Color casehardened lock and nosecap. This is the kit version. Everything in this kit is in the white! Stock barrel hammer etc. I have never attempted to blue gun parts so I was extremely nervous. It took some time to complete the bluing process but I was very happy with the end result. The stock took alot of sanding and stain. After all parts were blued and stained the kit went together very well. Some minor fitting was required as with any kit but I was well pleased. I am a Lake Charles Buccaneer and use this gun for our Pirate festival local football games and local events. I use this gun alot and it functions perfect and I have not had a problem with it. As with any black powder gun it requires alot of cleaning after shooting and Maintence to keep the corrosion from tearing up the finish. Excellent gun and I'm thinking about ordering a second one to have one for each hand.
