This mechanism bolts or straps to the barrel over the vent hole of any muzzleloading cannon and can be altered to fit any diameter. Threaded vent hole for a 5/16X24 musket nipple and place lock in place. Nipple is designed to accept winged musket caps. Fires with a 6" lanyard which gets you out of the way of the recoil of the gun. Well built and sturdy and ignites the powder charge instantly.

I asked Santa for your cannon lock for Christmas and low and behold it was under the tree. Actually I asked for 4 but only got 1 but it is ok! I mounted it on 'my' 1 inch and had a wonderful time! We have 5 of these little jewel's and New Years Eve was the best this year. Absolutely no problems! Thank you for a great product and the Grandkids thank you also because they get to pull the lanyard which PawPaw has lengthed to insure they are well away from the explosion and yes they do have their ear protection on. That's 4 grands and me! Thanks again.

I have used many of these on cannons and with a little fitting they are great. Function well as is. Make sure the hammer pin is snug. Can be used as is or polished up.

needs a lot of polishing takes 8-32 screws NOT 1/4-20 as stated in instructions but works well.
