High quality vernier tang sight and globe front sight fit the Dixie reproduction percussion Sharps ( PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS SIGHT WILL NOT FIT THE CARTRIDGE SHARPS). The track for the rear aperture is 3 1/2'” high; overall height is 4 ½”. 1 ½” base hole distance. Globe front has two 4mm X .7 mounting screws; fits standard 3/8” dovetail. OH MAN - OH WOW. I know it's Davide Pedersoli and know those products aren't exactly cheap - so this cheaper one.. well I must say I wasn't expecting something THIS great. Once it was unpacked and handled - it was FAR better than I expected. It won't be going on a Sharps and I know it'll fit better on a Sharps - but I ordered it and wanted to put it on a Marlin 1895CB in .45/70Gov't to give the rifle a more time-realistic sight than the factory plastic semi-buckhorns. I haven't mounted it yet - but so far it seems like it'll fit just fine and with only a little woodwork that need being done. The tunnel and Vernier-sight are both crisp in handling with absolutely no polishing that needs doing - the sight inserts are also really sharp and good looking. Even before I mount this - I really love it. =o)

Front sight good...tang, not so much
Globe front sight seems pretty good--not yet mounted but seems like it'll work well. The tang sight--not so much. The elevation adjustment requires you to loosen the aperture to allow it to move. This is where the windage adjustment is, so that gets disturbed to change elevation. I will keep the front sight and ordered a better tang sight with independent elevation and windage adjustments.
