MY WIFE BOUGHT ME THIS KIT FOR XMAS. IT CAME ASSEMBLED SO I KNEW ALL THE PIECES WOULD FIT TOGETHER AT THE START. WITH A GOOD BIT OF SANDING THE STOCK CAME OUT FINE. I ADDED SIX STAR INLAYS ALONG THE FORESTOCKA LARGE STAR INLAT ON THE CHEEK PLATE AND I RELIEF CARVED A RAMPENT SCOTTISH LION ON THE BUTT BELOW THE STAR ON THE CHEEK. FINISHED WITH BLUEBERRY JUICE STAIN AND BOILED LINSEED OIL. BEAUTIFUL GUN! AS TO SHOTTING I CAN HOLD A 1'' GROUP AT 50YDS. BENCH AND A 1'' GROUP AT 25YDS.OFFHAND. IT SHOOTS DAMN GOOD. I RECOMEND THIS TO ANYONE WHO HAS ANY WOOD WORKING ABILITY.

This is a very well made rifle kit. The parts were of exceptional quality and were casted well. The stock is made of very nice wood and finished beautifully. I would highly recommend it. I have not fired it yet but I am sure I will be pleased with the results. 5 STARS!!!!

I must say I am impressed. The kit seems to nclude a fine piece of wood in the stock all parts and the rapid delivery was great. I received it 6 days after placing my order and that includes a weekend. Well Done. I am retired and live in a northern mountain area so my work will begin as I intended to make this a winter project.

Gorgeous kit well built. Came with the flint installed and does include the sights (not in the picture) also extra sets of bolts. Got it down to less than 6 pounds after I chopped and grinded off some of that gaudy brass and reshaped the stock (the nosecap is a solid brass chunk). Some fine tuning required but overall somewhat easy kit. Shot very well havent sighted but I'm sure its fine. Goes with me everywhere in the Adirondack Mountains of North Country New York. Excellent service from DGW

I ordered this as a kit so when it came in a full sized box i'm thinking some one goofed and sent a completed rifle. I like to tinker so that's why I ordered the kit form. After getting it out of the box I found the rifle in the white completely assembled. To get the barrel blued and the stock finished I've spent 2 days carefully knocking the pins out and dis-assembling the lock patchbox thimbles and barrel. It's going to be a slow long winter finishing the stock and barrel then getting it all back together. It's ideal workmanship and i'd recommend the kit to anyone just wish Dixie hadn't had it assembled first. Thank you!
