I have onegot her about 25 years ago. Shoots like a champ. Decorated her with some brass tacks about 20 years ago. We call her \"the brown b****\"" use .73 round ball patched or a double load of # 2 shot. What a girl in a stake shoot. Large flint buy 'em in bulk when you can get \""em. "

A Good First-Time Build
First, a little history. While not an exact replica of any weapon ever produced by the Crown, it is, infact, a faithful representation of muskets repaired and rebuilt by gunsmiths using parts salvaged from post-Revolution British muskets. Sold at bargain prices to settlers bound for the Ohio territory, these were reliable, effective, versatile pot-fillers and home defense weapons. This kit is well made, came fully assembled, and finished very well. The lock sparks well, and it is an accurate, reliable shooter.
