I just recieved this rifle today and have not shot it yet but I am very impressed with the fit and finish of the rifle. It was delivered more than promptly with all the other accessories I ordered. It is really a beautiful rifle with great lines. PS as soon as I shoot it I will let you know how it did.

I just got home from shooting this rifle for the first time. It shoots good right out of the box but with the new sights (Hawken adjustible sight in the rear and gold dot front) and after some fine tuning (this is the first flintlock I have ever shot so my startle reaction to the sparks left something to be desired) After some fine tuning and testing several loads the rifle shoots right on and I was thoroughly impressed. Nice rifle good quality good price and fun to shoot. I hope I can find my dog he didn't like the sparks either.

Fit and finish are important to me in a production blackpowder gun. This piece demonstrates a beautiful attention to detail and finish with one small exception. I found that the patch box door was slightly sprung when I received it. I applied a small amount of leverage in the opposite direction and it closed much better but stronger hinges would be in order. The rifle fits me like a glove which is nice since I am of rather large stature. Gun comes well documented and packaged.
