Sometimes called the “Peace Flask” because of the clasped hands inside the circle of stars over the legend “US” within a shield; the design is embossed on both sides of this large distinctive brass flask. There are rings on each side for attaching a strap to carry the flask over the shoulder like a powder horn. The “Peace Flask” is 7” tall from head to bottom, ad 4” across the body at the widest point. The head includes a .58 grain non-adjustable spout. The correct accessory for a Mississippi or Zouave, or .58 Civil War ear rifled musket.

Cool but...
Cool flask. bought to accompany the 1841 rifle. It's quite a bit bigger than similar metal pistol flasks which is nice when you're throwing larger rifle charges. Big problem though is the little rings that attach the larger "triangle" rings to the body of the flask are VERY poorly soldered. Both of mine popped out wile attaching a sling. Be prepared to epoxy those little rings for a more secure mounting.
