Correct Civil War and Indian War left hand type, worn on the right side according to regulations. Muzzle end is sewn round. Heavy thick cowhide of best quality – black only. Our holsters are made with high quality stitching, with bras that will not scratch the gun inside the holster. Holsters will fit the BL0301 waist belt that Dixie stocks.

The stitching seems well done on my sample and the leather is of good quality. However when mine arrived the brass stud used to secure the flap was broken off. I replaced it with another stud obtained locally rather than doing an exchange. One handy thing about the Rogers & Spencer holster is that if you punch a second hole in the strap it will fit a Ruger Old Army with a 7.5\" barrel. Full flap holsters for the Ruger are somewhat hard to come by especially in a left handed version. So for me this is a dual-purpose item."
