This rugged knife is truly worthy of any mountainman’s sheath. The blade is the finest casting available with distinctive traditional styling. Each 10 ¼” blade is identical in weight, approximate 1 ¾ pounds. These knives balance at a point near center to avoid irregular spin. Designed primarily to be handle thrown; however may be blade thrown. Each blade is ¼” stock spring steel, tempered to over half the harness of a diamond. At competitive throwing distance of 12 t 18 feet, the average person with an easy overhand throw can learn to stick routinely after about 5 minutes practice. Blade is guaranteed against bending or breakage under normal use.

I purchased this throwing knife maybe ten or 12 years ago. This is a \"throwing\"" knife. It's not supposed to be a cutting utensil. Of course it has no cutting edge on it. But that doesn't mean you couldn't put one on it if you want to. Personally just for throwing fun I would rather not have an edge on it. I've been throwing this thing for 12 years and the point is still as it was when I purchased it. It's a strong well made throwing knife that is very easy to learn to stick after a few throws. If I want a knife strapped on my belt I'll choose a good hunting knife. Hunting knives and throwing knives are two different animals. Some people just don't understand that. That's why there are a lot of good hunting knives with broken tips. "

Perfectly fine
I bought, and reviewed, this knife just over 20 years ago. I am still throwing it, and it still works fine. You will need to put an edge on it if you want it to be a functional knife, but it has held up nicely after literally thousands of throws. I would even say that even if you tried, you wouldn’t be able to break this knife from throwing it.

A very nice and effective throwing knife. Although it arrived with absolutely no edge. It took a lot of work with a grinder and file to make this a useable piece. Most reputable Rendezvous require your throwing knife to be functional. For the price I expected it to have a reasonabe edge on it. There was not.

an intersting knife. well balanced for throwing. but it arrived looking about half finished. the edge was just not dull but flat. about 1/4\" thick. the blade was bent too. not one I'd recommend if you plan to use it out of the box as the knife is little more than a raw blank with a leather handle."
