This is what they would have called a factory made knife during the 1700- 1850 time frame. Neither cheap nor high end for the time. There are obvious issues in fit and finish that don't make it any less sturdy. It came out of some sort of shop in India. Like most of these knives it arrived blunt. The handle on mine is brown. In you want something that looks like its Scottish from that time frame mybe this is it. Just remember this does not duplicate a high end knife fit for a lard. It looks like something a soldier might have owned. I find the basic design to be usable as a good general function knife. My only grip is that so for I haven't been able to put a decent edge on it. The blade seems stiff so I'm not sure what gives. They just knocked 18.00 seems a little high but be sure and check shipping some cheap knives cost a lot to ship.

You get what you pay for. For 20 bucks I thought I would chance it. No luck. It is a BAD Sgian Dhu. No redeeming qualities whatsoever well besides it being cheap. Threw it over the side of the Coronado bridge at midnight. It sleeps with the fishes.
