MC6899 Federal Enlisted Man's Frock Coat

Enlisted men’s frock coats, unlike officer’s coats, were plain, single breasted coats with less full skirts. The sleeves were more arrow and had split cuffs. No false pockets appeared in the skirt tails. The split cuffs, collar (top and bottom) edge are piped in sky blue. Coat is constructed of dark navy blue wood with brown cotton lining for the body and muslin lining for the sleeves. Closes with nine buttons.
