THIS CLYINDER STOP IS MUCH NICER THAN THE FACTORY ONE. IT CORRECTED THE CLYINDER TIMING PROBLEM THAT I HAD WITHOUT ANY FITTING. IT IS BACK CUT ON THE CAM SIDE FOR SMOOTH OPERATION.

Awesome! I bought this to replace the rusted one in my Dad's Griswold and Gunnison replica from 1972 and it was FAR superior to the cheap pot metal piece taken out.It seems to be machined from bar stock steel and not a MIM part (1911 talk) but I could be wrong. The leg that connects with the hammer cam is factory beveled and the piece that connects with the cylinder is nicely angled and rounded for smooth rotation and non gouging of the cylinder. What interested me most about this piece was the fact that the WHOLE part is polished also unlike the roughly manufactured piece that came installed in the pistol.I highly recommend this part and DGW as well.Every part I have received from them has been exactly what I ordered and nicely made.Alot of people complain about these parts not \"dropping in\"" like 1911 aftermarket parts do.Wellthey don't especially on older repros like mine.If you have a dremmelsome files and a light hand with mechanical knowledge you'll be just fine but don't expect these parts to just drop right in the need tuning because each gun is different.DGW is my new toy store. It's for Pietta repros. It may not fit others. The tip of mine measured 0.156\" which was just about perfect for the cylinder notches. It could be used as a drop in replacement but I fitted it to my particular gun. Really the only fitting needed is the tail of it."

I needed this part for an Italian .36 brand unknown. The broken part that came out of the .36 was thinner etc. so I had to significantly modify this new part with a file and grinder. I got the old beater running like new. Without this part I would have been dead in the water.

The ones I have gotten today are a bit nicer than the ones I've gotten in the past- a bit more polished and even the \"legs\"" seem a bit longer which is great when fitting it up. It does require fitting but the over length legs are really handy for this purpose."
