Probably the most significant development for muzzleloaders since the percussion cap. The Kap Kover was designed and built by a muzzleloading hunter. When properly installed the Kover will protect your cap and powder from wet conditions. It also acts as a positive mechanical safety since the gun will not fire with the Kover in place. The kit consists of a specially machined Uncle Mike’s Hot Shot nipple with a neoprene ‘O’ ring ready installed, a spare ‘O’ ring, the Kap Kover (machined from solid brass stock), a leather thong to secure the Kover to the rifle, and complete installation instructions.
