Especially designed to accept a standard small rifle primer. The purpose of these is to get 100% ignition in a percussion gun. 100% of the fire from the primer goes through the vent hole. “Small rifle primers” are available in most sporting goods stores, and from us. They are held in place by a tiny removable coiled retainer spring. Can be adjusted to the most convenient position for loading the primer. In our tests, when the rifle is fired, the primer is automatically pushed up and out of the nipple recess. Standard ¼ X 28. Use ¼” open end wrench to install. Made in USA.

I ordered one for use in my TC Renegade rifle. Great idea but it was unusable because the threaded portion of the nipple was too long and bottomed out before the it was fully seated. Bottoming out covered the flash hole making it unworkable in my rifle. For TC rifles they should to be manufactured with the threaded portion matching TC's specifications. If this can't be done then the advertising should state they aren't suitable for use in these rifles.

Nice idea but the metal is too soft. It peened down and was unuseable after 3 shots. If you like the idea for hunting just remember that you don't want to screw it in too deep and only test fire it once.
