For all types of handguns, either black powder or cartridge. Rod and handle are made of the same high tech material as the rifle and shotgun rods. On the other end of the rod is a brass tip, threaded 10 X 32. Length is 10” plus the handle.

This is a great little range rod for a great price. I have no complaints whatsoever. I own a .50 Kentucky flint pistol and this makes the ideal ramrod for shooting on the range. I also have a loading stand for my pistol and this complements it perfectly. It's a solid sturdy one-piece injection molded rod. It has a little bend to it but nothing that would hinder the performance. Just make sure your pistol is of a larger caliber as this appears to be too think to work with anything below a .40 caliber so it isn't a truly \"universal\"" rod that would work with any pistol. "

Well for something that is for \"all guns\"" it didn't fit in my .36 pistol which is what I bought it for. And the reason for that is that the outside diameter of this rod is marked at 3/8th inches which translates into .375 caliber. Don't expect to be able to use this on a gun less than a .38. They didn't tell you in the desciption but I am telling you that here. "
