The Cheyenne Lodges are made according to Laubin pattern which we feel is the most authentic. They are made of natural cotton duck for authenticity, as this would be the same material available to the mountain man and the Indian in the 1800 to 1840 period. Water repellent . All seams are double sewn. Edges are hemmed unless selvage edge is used. Bottom edge is hemmed to keep from fraying. Lacing pin holes are button stitched by hand and no grommets are used. Stake loops are used on some Tipis of modern manufacture, but we feel this is not authentic. Instructions are included for attaching the proper way.

10 oz. Cotton Duck is natural, untreated 100% cotton with 10 oz. yarn per square yard. Will be white to off white containing particles of cotton seeds and fairly coarse weave. Very authentic and close to the material available in the 1800 period. Size of a Tipi is the measurement of the base - not the measurement of the height.

Includes cover and door, 84” liner or cover, pole layout (diagram), type and number of pegs and lacing pins and size of rope to be used. Poles, rope, pegs, or lacing pins sold seperately.

The dimension claim of \"20 feet\"" is misleading. The diameter of this tipi in it's longest circumference is 17 feet 9 inches. Further the liner ties are sewed in a fashion that if you extend your tipi poles to tighten the cover the ties don't reach to the bases of the poles. Buyer beware. What you don't know about the \""clever\"" points of tipi nomenclature will leave you unhappy with this lodge. If they TOLD me it was an 18 foot tipi I would probably be happy. They didn't. They claimed it was 20 feet charged the price and it is not 20 feet in diameter in any direction."
