The mainspring was an excellent fit. It went into an old 1861 army with no trouble at all.

This mainspring while not as robust as the Uberti original was a perfect fit in my 1861 Navy. The gun works well now and the service from Dixie was fast.

First of all thank you Dixie Gun Works for the prompt service. I ordered this part on a Tuesday and they arrived on Thursday. Secondly I bought this main spring becasue the 1851 Pietta I have came with a soft main spring. This main spring dropped right in and added just the right tension to the action. Not too soft-not too stiff-it's just right.
