Great upgrade to the 44 pistol at least. Just be careful to NOT put your left hand under the barrel when shooting.. If you hold like a rifle you will burn your arm with blow by from the cylinder area. It sounds like common sense but I have seen 2 reenactors do just that..... It fits well enough after changing the screw (supplied) and light fitting at the joint. (light file work to ensure solid mount.) It's a little pricey but the OOOOOHHH factor is great.

So I seem to have took my sweet time in getting it installed... I didn't take it to a gunsmith after all. I took my pistol apart and installed the hammer pin myself. It was a little stressful as I am not skilled in this area but I got it done. :D So after I got it installed and started shooting I was well pleased. My off hand groups tightened up considerably. There is a certain proper stance one must use to safely shoot a revolver with a butt stock. There was no safety instructions provided. Luckily I already know these things... I like the way it feels when I used it as a thick brush gun. Light weight easy to maneuver and acquire a target in less than ideal conditions. It surprises me that these butt stocks did not have more of a following back in the day. Anyways... If you have always wanted one and have the spare cash go for it! It is fun and it can turn your handgun into a revolver carbine and be actually useful around the farm or in the thick brush.

The item looks good and all that but..... It would have been nice if some instructions were provided as to how to properly instal the thing. Guess I will be headed to a gunsmith for this one. The Shoulder stock arived in a timely fashion and like I said above it looks nice. I would have given a really good rating if instructions had been provided. Once I have it properly instaled I will give my impression of it being ussed in live fire.
