One of the most famous and successful rifles of all times. More than 700,000 were made from 1873 thru 1919 in a bewildering array of variations. Our reproduction features European walnut buttstock and forearm in satin finish, 3 ½" drop and 13 ½" trigger pull. Blued 19" tapered round barrel .900" at breech to .630" at muzzle features .004" cut rifling, 1-18" twist, 6 lands measure .424" and 6 grooves measure .432" Front sight is steel, one piece base and blade made integral with upper barrel band. Rear sight is blued steel .390 dove tail base, open style flip-up with elevator marked to 900 yards. Blued steel furniture, marked "MODEL 1873" on tang, single trigger, two barrel bands, Chambered for 45 LC black powder cartridges or factory loaded smokeless ammo. Ten round magazine. I purchased the 1873 Winchester Carbine. 45LC 11/1910. The price was good compared to other Dealers I looked at online. Price from Dixie Gun Works was $825.00 other Dealers had their price @ over $1000.00. Which I think was a good Deal. This shipping was made on the same day I made the purchase.
