I've had this rifle for a bit over 3 years and right now there are no production rolling block rifles offered on planet Earth that can compare with it for two reasons - (1) there are no other production rollers being offered by anyone other than Pedersoli and (2) this is one heckuva fine rifle for fit finish precision overall quality and accuracy. The supplied rear vernier tang and front globe sights are fine for plinking or hunting but will need to be replaced with a rear vernier soule w/Hadley eyecup and front spirit globe for this rifle to stand toe-to-toe with any other rifle on the shooting line. While it'll easily digest smokeless loads I'll only load black powder and plain base cast bullets and it is Very Accurate for me at the club 200 and 300 yard paper target matches ... ditto's out to 600 yards on steel. I have the 34\" barrel model but it also comes in a 30\"" model. "

Have had my \"Bodine\"" just a few weeks but am impressed with the early accuracy acheived with a basic load. I expect a lot of improvement as I can fine tune my bullet and powder selection. The rifle itself was a bit disappointing in appearance initially with some barrel discoloration due to inadequate packing lubrication on the barrel surfaces. Some swirls and blotches were obvious. Also the wood was unimpressive with the grain being far from filled properly. I took care of that finding in the process that the original dark walnut color was the result of an applied stain--not a naturally colored walnut wood. Overall though it's a nice rifle. The rolling block action is definitely quicker than the Sharps."
