This is a beautiful rifle and maybe even a work of art. The craftsmanship and quality are astounding. It fires very well with very little recoil. I fitted it with the popular repro hi lux Malcolm 6x short scope and had the rifle sighted in and hitting targets at 100 yards within minutes. Pedersoli have lived up to their reputation with this fine example and I would recommend this rifle to anyone with an interest in historic target and sniper rifles. AA++++

I purchased my Sharps Model 1874 Target rifle a few months ago and have thoroughly enjoyed shooting it. It shoots great and accurately. I am enjoying learning something new each time I take it out. Best birthday present my wife ever bought me.

This is the best value in a '74 Sharps rifle bar none. The quality of both materials and workmanship is outstanding in every way and can't be surpassed in any other Sharps rifle. The barrel is of match grade quality and in the right hands with the right cartridge load it will deliver 1MOA accuracy at distances from 100yds to way beyond. This Sharps makes a great rifle for both target and hunting highly recommended. It's my go-to Sharps target rifle with black or white powders.

The best value for the money and far beyond. Looked at pedersoli made for Cabelas (100.00 more) parkerized barrel no taper no checkering heavy hunk of metal and others. This one is done right for DGW. Deep blue superb checkering that wraps around the forearm and the butt stock below the trigger tang better sights. My FFL guy who deals in class 3 and silencers said it held the title of the coolest gun to pass thru his store. Done and done. The right choice.

Very pleased, bargain for the money.
Received my Pedersoli Sharps in April, 2019. The rifle is very well made, the stock is straight-grained walnut with a good appearance but no real figure. The case hardening is beautiful, and I really like the half-octagonal/half round barrel. The rifle has a definite heft but balances well. This version of the Pedersoli Sharps must be built to Dixies specifications as the barrel is marked Pedersoli on the left barrel flat, but also has Dixie's name on the top flat. This version of the rifle is a bargain versus some other plainer versions of the rifle for sale that lack the polished blue, wood checkering, and case hardening on this model.
