wow! wow! wow! this gun is amazing! the heft is that of a small dog and when you hold it you just know that you did the right thing buying it! the ONLY downside to the gun is that when you fire it its an automatic flashback to the movie men in black when will smith shoots the noisy cricket for the first time! (after all you have to remember that you are firing a .69 caliber pistol which in turn is about the largest caliber on earth!) if you are even slightly considering buying a black powder firearm than buy this one! pedersoli is the best!

The quality of the French \"AN IX\"" is top notch and is a beautiful gun. I have many black powder revolvers and a couple of rifles so I eventually desired a flintlock pistol and was willing to pay the extra money for a true piece of history that was impressive to see and fire. My only warning is to watch how much powder you load into this one too much and it's very unforgiving. Keep in mind that this calieber is equivilent to a 12 gauge shotgun."

Another Pedersoli gem
Exceptional craftmanship of this reproduction AN IX. Every detail is pure perfection. You will not go wrong in purchasing from dixie gun works...I have 3 gun orders from them over the past years, and would rate them with 10 out of ten
