PH0330 Pedersoli Kentucky Percussion Pistol Kit

This pistol was a real education for me to build. I had not built a weapon befor this. You will need files sand paper screwdrivers chisels stain sealer possibly a drill. But most of all elbow grease. It is a simple kit but with all good things you must put effort into it. I had to file about 1/8th inch off the front sight to bring the pattern up on the target. I am more than pleased with this piece. There was about 10-13 hours work put into it. Well worth it.

Got the \"kit\"" comes assembled but not finished. Brass is rough and requires buffing and polishing. Everything fits nicely however stock has plenty of extra wood. Letting you clean up and give it a FINISHED look. Sights are way to high filed front sight in half will see how it fires soon."

I bought this as an entry level kit. I'm no beginner to black powder or arms. The first thing I was disappointed in was the absolute lack of instructions. If you know anything about how a lock system works it's really simple. This kit was a snap to put together even without the instructions. Be sure to look at the picture on this sight. It's the only picture you can see. None on the box. It took me about 4 hours start to finish. I did use a Dremel and I have a great set of gunsmith files. They all cut the time in half. I highly recommend this for anyone wanting to save money on an already put together model. Be a great project for a father/son or grandfather/grandson and even a daughter or grand daughter. Gun comes assembled I called and the lady says that all of the guns come assembled. The wood routed out to big in some places and brass forced in to the really tight places. When you think KIT I was assuming that I was getting a kit to build a gun not take one apart and stripe a few screws. Although it did come with extras. 2.5/5 for this guy not gonna return it but was a little disappointed.
