Parts Fit and they are American Made! Requires a lot of polishing. In the polishing be careful I did mess up a Hammer by overdoing the polish before very slow browning. I accidently Dremeled the back of the hammer too low be careful of that the half cock will NO T WORK NOR WILL THE HAMMER FUNCTION SAFELY. I did as with the pepperbox make new grips from a block of walnut. My hands would not fit around the furnished grip it was too small after finishing. The only real poroblem I had with this kit was the rod holders under the bbl the fit is a bit tricky and I spent too much time again wioth the polish and had to purchase new ones. DO NOT over polish until they are firmly seated under the bbl. It is a showpiece though and yes Ill buy another probably collect all of them. Well Made Kit

This is a good first Classic Arms kit. There is some fine file work needed and fine sanding. The most difficult part is setting the spring for the hammer. This is followed by the grip which is roughly shaped. Mine was not drilled properly to fit the pistol body but it was an easy fix. If you have ever built a plastic model you'll appreciate the 'sand and fit before glueing' aspect. Go slow and don't be afraid to take too long. mistakes with a finishing file are easier to cover up than mistakes with a bastard file. Shooting this is fun. we used 15 grains of both FFF GoEx and Pyrodex P with similar results. The Remington #11 caps work better than the CCI. Some light sanding of the nipples resolved any issues. Aiming is interesting shoot low as the aim is high. sighting along the side sort of works but seeing as this is meant as a close quarters weapon just point it. I made this as a gift and it was well received. A nice weekend project. Expect to take it slow for good results.

I now have two of these 1 fully assembeled & refurbished & the other recently assembled from original kit form. Both purchased \"as is\"". Takes very little time to assemble even if some components need care due to corrosive effects of 25-30 years of improper storage. Mechanism was relatively easy to assemble. Seems a fun way to introduce oneself to black powder shooting. "
