I had a great time with ass. and finnsh it. I got it for my 49 birthday. gave me somthing to do on my 59th retirment. I lost the hammer spring and spring Retainer can I get part from dixie for it? Duckfoot makes good conversation pace. People want to know what it was used for and I make up all kinds of thing I think. thinking about getting two more for howleen. also would love to have the one with the blade on it.

I got mine when I was 13 and am extremely happy with it. I had it done in about a day and I thought I was pretty easy to finish. The hardest part was putting the hammer spring in but within a half an hour I got it in. I love shooting it and it is very reliable. Over all this is a fun gun and makes a great wall ornament.

I ordered a duckfoot kit around 1974 when they were advertised for $35 per kit...took over 18 months for delivery due to heavy ordering activity. Great kit for a first time builder....must have put over 300 rounds through the duckfoot back then.

I remember having this gun 35 years ago and had given it to a friend. The more time and effort put into this kit the more memorable a keepsake it may become not to mention safer and more cool!

Little challenging but fun kit. Had to stray from instructions little. Hammer spring 10 X tension needed to pop cap jammed up parts flew past head few times. Cut 1/4 inch off pops #11 cap every time. Spacer was missing / breech & receiver would just spin when screwed in easy fix with right sized washer. Receiver needed grinding to get hammer in so much so grinded hammer instead. Pin holes need deburring handle went quick using belt sander and dremel. Would take hours by hand. Blued it / polished / stained / waxed. Great looking cap & ball duckfoot fun build !
