This is the best rifle I've ever owned or shot. Accurate out past 100 yds with 110 gr of FFG. Remington and CCI caps dont seem to work as well as the RWS German #11 caps that Dixie sells. The wedge pins on the stock however are extremely loose but after wrapping electric tape over the wedges and around the barrel and stock it took care of that problem and the dark finish of the stock doesnt show the tape.

This message is for Nick Kassales as well as others. If you look on the Lyman website or possibly your owners manual the so called hinge pins can be made to fit snug by utilizing a light gunsmith (brass) hammer to tap on the barrel hinges inwhich slightly bends them for a tighter fit. Mine was loose too and this fixed it without adding any tape or other material. This is an extraordinary rifle and is my second Investarms ML and both are equally supreme. also Nick if you get a Hot Shot nipple for this rifle it will improve your ignition.

first and best for me.
My first front stuffer was a great plains from 1995, a great plains, left handed flinter, used it until 2010ish and went to a left handed great plains perc. unfortunately, it was recently stolen and I'm getting it's replacement. as a guy over 6', with long arms the great plains has been the best fit short of going full custom.
