Outstanding! It was my first flintlock handgun though I had seen many originals. I was so impressed when I opened the box I could hardly believe it. The real impression came after I fired the weapon and went to clean it. After removing the barrel I noticed that all of the little seen wood on the inside of the gun was stained and finished. Just the kind of quality a 19th century english gentleman would expect in his pistol. The only comment is that this is no target weapon. It is good only for saber distance a problem with the original as well. It would be silly to expect a smoothbore of this barrel length to be anything else. Thus it is an excellent weapon for reinactment and enjoyment but don't expect to outdo Matthew Quigley with it. With respect to Pedersoli I will purchase their firearms any chance I get in the future. I give them an A+++

This was my first flintlock and what a good one it is. It is fun to shoot and easy to clean but the best part about this pistol is the quality that Davide Pedersoli put into it.

Excellent firearm. Very litle stock work required. Be careful with the trigger guard when fitting. The nature of the wood took a cherry followed by a dark walnut stain. Instead of polyurethane I used boilled linseed oil. Hundreds of hand-rubbed coats provided a deep laquer-like finish. I highly recommend this piece. Trigger is a bit stiff yet that can be modified with care.

I bought some of these for me and my brother. We both loved them. I'm gonna buy more. Like Black Beard's ship Queen Anne's Revenge these babies rock.
