This is a very nice gun. It is well made and worth the price. Anyone who says that these weapons are not accurate never fired one. I hit the groin of a silhouette target at 75 feet left handed using a .54 inch patched ball and 50 grains of ffg powder (and some luck). The recoil is impressive. I recommend this as a beginners gun for flintlock pistol shooters. Enjoy.

This pistol gets full marks across the board ..... accuracy is surprising once you get used to it.

If this gun was a woman I'd marry it. More fun to shoot than should be legal. Big boom. Me like.

Okay the last one was supposed to be funny. I didn't mean to imply that I'd shoot a good wife (see other review by me). I meant the gun is a keeper and it is fun to shoot. Really this is quite a pistol. There is no rear sight but in spite of this the gun is capable of good accuracy if you are consistent in how you point it. I've carried this gun on several hikes and have never had the priming powder trickle out of the pan as I have with lesser pistols. The lock is quite reliable. I've chronographed this piece with a .570\" ball a .015\"" patch and 40 grains of FFg Goex and it launched that ball at an average of 625 fps. It got faster as it got dirtier indicating pressure was rising as fouling built up. Incidentaly I ground the front sight off of mine since some originals I examined did not have one and I seem to shoot the piece better without it. This pistol fits the hand very well and in the tradition of holser pistols (horse pistols) points quite naturally. Buy one!"

Truly Awesome!!! Very good shooter. Quite accurate 1\" groups at 25 yds with 40 gr. of FFg under a .570 RB wrapped in a .010 patch. Typical Pedersoli quality. Fit and finish are perfect. Trigger pull is a bit heavy but still very nice. If you want a truly good flint pistol you should consider this. You won't be sorry. Very pleased."
