As I have been a Black Powder shooter for some twenty-five years now I have about fifteen different BP hand guns now and on a quest for something new and different to shoot I came across this gun not sure of it I decided to buy one and to my surprise when I received the gun I could not believe how nice this gun is made the detail that is put into it is incredible all the blue parts are polished the case color is deep and polished also and all the workings are smooth and crisp the over all appearance of the gun is beautiful There is only one thing that needs to be looked after is the trigger it has a long pull before the release but not something you can?t live with overall I think this is a great gun for the price and for those of you that are like me that love BP you will love this gun I was so impressed with it that I just ordered a second one w/ spare cylinders for them as I plan to get my moneys worth out of them.

Incredible fit and finish and an overall fantastic revolver although the lack of a true loading lever means you must bring your own ramrod to the range. Also comes with an instructional manual that is for the cartridge loading version NOT the black powder version. Other sites charge $400+ for this gun. Get it cheap here while you can.

Let me clarify my prior statement. This gun comes with a loading lever; however it's for the cartridge gun not the cap and ball version. Oh and have fun removing the cylinder. It's a real bear and takes a good amount of practice.

Absolutely beautiful gun! As a big fan of both BP and Single Action Army shooting I was thrilled to find this combination of the best of both worlds. My wife gave me the 1873 for Christmas and while I haven't fired it yet I am completely blown away by the quality of the workmanship. It actually feels better in my hand than the $1500 original Colt SAA I used to own.

This handgun is made near my country (300 miles). It's quite impossible to have it though it is free for sale to people over 18 in France. Thank you Dixie to permit having one ! This gun is perfect. Excuse-me for my bad english.
