After owning her and shooting her for a few months I have some observations. Good and heavy shoots straight onece you get the feel of er....... I love this gun!!! Down side... I have heard that these brass framed gems frame may have some stretch after awhile....?? I am trying to source a steel frame to install onece and if this happens. also I have found that the new easy cleaN no scent sulphurless powder substitutes to be kinda half a$$ed I recommend swiss fffg \"real black powder\"" just be sure to clean er up real good ..\""TRY NATO ORD BREAKFREE WITH TEFLON!!!!!\"" Try the substitutes and you will see... 11 caps work great I have had no problems with them falling off at all If you keep her clean treat her right....your going to have no problems.. ok..done with this one...makes a beautiful gun...again i stress using fine files and sand paper to finish this project...this kit also requires you to finish the steel barrel...so stick with the files and sand paper on that too...youll have a peice you can be proud of..i think the finished product can look better than the finished models...im upgrading this one from my last review to a five..even though i dont have the ingraving on the cylinder

Recieved my revolver today. For the price of a kit its a great deal. Its fit and action are real good. Will require sanding and file workbut thats what a kit is for. Can not wait to get it finished. The folks at Dixie have been great answering any questions.

Beautiful gun
Fast delivery, Thanks DGW. Just finished, yes the brass casting is rough, it's a kit. The barrel also had milling marks. Just what I wanted, a kit, A lot of elbow grease for the brass and steel parts. Brass buffed up beautiful and removing the milling marks took some time. Finished the barrel with a Parkerized finish and buffed the brass to a high sheen. Not authentic, but what a joy to hold. And I did it myself. This is the second kit, 1st the Spiller and burr, what a pair. May try the Walker next. Thanks DGW
