18413 REMINGTON NEW MODEL ARMY CONVERSION REVOLVER

Converted from percussion to .44 caliber centerfire. Six-shot cylinder and 8" octagonal barrel. The gun has been nickel plated with about 95% of the bright plating remaining overall. Plating appears to be old and done during the period of use possibly at the time of conversion. Barrel is mounted with a blade style front sight which is dovetailed just behind the muzzle. A rear sight notch has been machined into the top rear of the frame just ahead of the hammer opening. Edges and corners of the frame and barrel are fairly sharp. No markings remain on the barrel. Loading lever is still present beneath the barrel and holds the ejector rod in place which is attached to the right side of the frame. Brass triggerguard shows nice age. Two piece walnut grips are in fine condition and have the outline of a cartouche on the right side. Overall condition is about fine.
