New design now allows you to use just one simple adapter for discharging and unloading your flintlock, percussion sidehammer, and break-action in line muzzleloaders. Works on flint, #11 or musket nipples, and 290 shotgun primer muzzleloaders. Also use for safety to clear the barrel and breech between shots to remove any residual sparks or embers, prior to reloading. New design also makes this tool useful as a blowoff cleaning device by discharging a blast of "air" to easily remove dirt from tight spots such as your computer keyboard, printed circuit boards, enclosed areas etc. Kit contains a CO2 dispenser, discharge nozzle with a tip for discharging and inflating and three (3) 16 gram CO2 cartridges.

Used it twice to remove stuck ramrods on muskets used by reenactors out in the field. Saved a trip to the barn. Ramrods got stuck during cleaning process. Seemed to be a coke ring and tight patch combination. Plier type ramrod grippers were too big for the military rod or the leather faces came off so they ended up too big.

Just received this discharger today. Used it to unload a Pennsylvania rifle with a 40 inch barrel - worked very well first time. Followed up with a few barrel clearing CO2 blasts and done! Couldn't be happier!

No good at all for removing bullets from muzzleloaders. Do not know what the other two reviewers did but their bullets must have been ready to roll out of the barrel. Do not waste your money on this expensive but useless product.
