I love my Whitworth!
I love myy new Pedersoli Whitworth. The fit and finish is per their quality reputation. I would prefer the satin finished hand oiled finish and not the shiny one that came on mine though. I can live with that and can always refinish it later. When I finally shoot it I will do another review on that.

My rifle was either finished on intern day or Friday afternoon!
Received my Pedersoli Whitworth rifle today. Beautiful gun, metal are nicely finished and the fit is pretty good. What's the problem then? Well, too bad I also have a 3 band Enfield from pedersoli also. For a $995 gun ( the Enfield) it has a way nicer hand rubbed wood finish than my new 1700 dollar Whitworth. The grain on the wood is pretty awesome but the final finish on the stock compares to my Chinese SKS. YES, it's that bad. I was under the impression that a rifle in this price category will be nicer furnished than the lesser priced rifles from the same company, but that's the game you play with pedersoli I guess. The stock basically was sprayed with one coat of tinted shiny lacquer and the sheen is not even consistent from one side to another. When I tried to even the sheen with some 000 steel wool some areas simply gone down to bare wood, I have no idea how it passed QC. Since the grain is good, rather than returning it I decided to just strip it and re finish it myself. I love pedersoli guns they are good shooters and sometimes they come pretty darn nice and other times they just need lots of redoing. Don't let me discourage you, over all nice gun and nothing that can't be fixed.
