19485 Custom Canoe Gun by Jackie Brown

This Flintlock Canoe gun was made by Jackie Brown of Walnut, Miss. It features a 21 ¾” smoothbore barrel with a bore size of .610. Bore is very good. The outside of the barrel is tapered starting at the breech with a 1” octagon to a small transition wedding band and then turns round and tapers to 7/8” at the muzzle. A steel turtle front sight is soldered to the barrel. No rear sight is used. The top flat is engraved “J Brown”. The lock is an L&R Trade lock. There is a single trigger with a 14” length of pull. The stock is cherry but is stained dark. Furniture consist of a steel buttplate and triggerguard. All steel on the gun is aged to a gray/brown patina color. A brass serpent sideplate and 2 brass trade thimbles are used. Weight is 5 ¼ lbs. Condition is new but the stock does have a small repaired crack under the rear sidelock screw hole extending up to the barrel channel border.
