An eagle was utilized by US and European flask makers to attract the American user. Its popularity continues; the most common form is the spread eagle with wing tips up, claws grasping an American flag shield and arrows with olive branches; nine stars above the bird and crossed revolvers below with a banner with the legend E Pluribus Unum. Like the original eagle flasks, this one is 4 ½” tall, polished copper with brass head and non adjustable 12 grain spout. Made in Italy.
