A very popular style for the common woman of the early 1700s. Edge of brim is trimmed in grosgrain ribbon. The crown also features ribbon trim. To make the hat more authentic, we suggest adding ribbon ties. Attach them to each side of the outside crown. The ties come down over the brim and when tied under the chin, this brings the brim down around the face. The purpose is to give the wearer added protection from the weather and to make the hat more secure on windy days. Multi- sized hat fits all average heads.
