JG0725 Civil War Poncho

A well made copy of poncho used during the Civil War. Although several variations were used by both Northern and Southern troops, the styling of this poncho will look absolutely right with either uniform. Like originals, this poncho is made from rubberized cloth, slit in the center to allow poncho to be slipped over the head. Material around this slit has been authentically double layered for added strength. The outer edges are hemmed with a double thickness of the same cloth. 16 brass grommets around the outer edge of poncho, allow ties t be attached and in an emergency, throw up an effective “pup tent.” Measures 44” X 62”.
